Blue Beach House in Ocean Shores - Tuesday, July 22, 2008  
I have a friend at work, Joe Brown, who recently got a house down in Ocean Shores next to the canal. He is going to rent it out, and my family and our friends Nga and Jeff and thier two girls got to be the first to stay. It is a very nice place, much bigger than I expected. He has it fully furnished and some great ametinities: a canoe for the canal; a dock; firepit; xbox downstairs and some movies and games for it; four great beds; some cool board games; and other things I am surely forgetting.

the canoe we saw two raccoons and a mama deer with two fauns. we saw the deer and fauns again several times over our two days in o.s.
 


ice cream! there are some fun shops downtown. we also did the bumper cars.
 


school there is a (really beautiful and new) elementary school a few blocks away, well within walking distance, with a fun playground.
 


state park the state park beaches at the south end of o.s. is definitely where you should go if you go to o.s. much less crowded and less windy. and prettier. and no cars on the beach like near town.
