luke and kristen's visit -

all in the family:
(kristen, luke, carmen, dave, david, annie, joe, salina, sarah, dean, levi, jen)
So, Luke got to take a couple weeks off before he and his platoon ship out to Ramadi, Iraq in September. He and Kristen flew up to washington to hang out with the fam for a week. Luckily, Salina and I got several days off, and Levi and others too, and we all had a great time together. In fact, I'd say it is a contender for best vacation ever!
Luke, we are all so proud of you. We will be thinking of you all the time.

salina's new suit. she'll probably be annoyed i put this up but i think she looks pretty damn sharp! she's going back to full time work next month, and got some new clothes for interviews and such.

luke designed this shirt himself for his platoon -- 3rd platoon, Lima Company, 7th Marines. he gave some to a fortunate few. semper fi.

pretty girls! (jen was still driving to forks at this point. the hood cannal bridge closed which means she had to drive around which is like an extra two or three hours. salina and i just squeaked through about 10 minutes before it closed on Thursday, after having waited all day for the UPS guy to deliver our Wild Waves tickets [btw, we had a great time with everyone at Wild Waves but apparently got no photos], and then our ferry was detained because some divers where underneath it and they had to call in the Coast Gaurd and an INTERPRETER to interview the divers-- pretty creepy. anyway...)

at the site next to Ingrid's there was this deer just hanging out on the shore. it was there for about twenty minutes. i swear salina and i saw about 20 deer on this trip, just driving around different places

Ingrid and Joe have this great cabin on lake crescent with a dock that is awesome for diving off. we hung out there all day friday, and some of us had hung out a few days before

out in dad and mom's back yard-- dad made this real cool rock area where they have thier porch swing, picnic tables, fire pit, etc.
